Day 2 of Pearl Ann's Make A Wish Trip

We spent this morninh meeting Disney characters, swimming and eating ice cream. We went to Universal Studios Adventure Islands this afternoon. We managed to get everyone's one choice in today and even spent a lot of extra time in the Dr. Seuss area. We chased Elias through a shop and ended up going through the exit to a ride. When the workers saw our golden ticket they let us get on right away. We had no idea what we were going in to, but it turned out to be Pearl's favorite ride! It turns out it was an animatronic Cat in the Hat. Pearl liked it so much that she wanted to ride it again right away. The worker cheerfully said that she had no problem with us going again so we got right back on and rode again! When that was over Pearl wanted to go yet again, but Paul and I thought it would be obnoxious so we left. We all loved the Dr. Seuss area. I think it was a clear favorite.

I think I like Universal Studios better than Disney. :-)

Here's just a few really great things about the Give Kids the World resort:
- There is no charge for anything here. All meals, the stocked snacks in the rooms, the ice cream palace and the cookie cart are all available throughout the day. We can also order pizza until 10:30pm.
- There is putt-putt course, an arcade, remote controlled boats, a snoring tree, an outdoor pool with a pirate ship stage and a huge playground. I'm sure I'm missing a lot that I can't remember right now.
- There are over 1500 volunteers here a WEEK.
- The Disney characters come and have professional pictures made with the kids.
- There is a party every night, including Christmas once a week!

Tomorrow's agenda includes Epcot and maybe Magic Kingdom again for a special surprise for Pearl Ann. :)

Hi Corders. It's Melissa Snyder. I called Paul's office to see if you were back home and found out you were vacationing for the week. GOOD FOR YOU! I was wondering what everyone thought of the trip. Maybe I'll catch up with you in a few days.

I'm writing the story now. Looks like it will go in Sunday.

Have a wonderful time and be safe! Love from Cleveland
