I am sitting on the front porch of our villa watching the party going on at the playground in front of our house. Our supper will be delivered to the villa in a few minutes from Katie's Kitchen in a few minutes. It has been tiring but a lot of fun today. We spent the morning at the resort having a naughty breakfast of fruit loops and ice cream and playing putt-putt and riding on the carousel. Then we went to Magic Kingdom. We waited in line at the first character picture opportunity. When the cast members saw this they were nearly upset and told us to always let them know. We did after that and had almost no wait times.
Each kid got to choose one thing that would absolutely get done today. Pearl chose the Monster's Inc. Comedy Show, Nika chose meeting the princesses, Eliza chose Space Mountain and Elias chose Thunder Mountain. We got them all done, too!
The one blip in the day was that when we were called back to see 3 of the princesses Pearl somehow got left behind. I tried not to panic and then when she was found I felt awful. She clearly had been crying. But then the princesses were amazing. It was one of the many times I got a little emotional today.
When we got back to our villa there were surprises on the table. They each got one last night, too. We also get to order pizza as much as we want in the evening and, of course, ice cream is unlimited. They even have non-dairy ice cream, which is great for Elias and Nika.
We rode a train from the airplane to baggage claim last night. When we got in Nika said, "Oh, a car-e-vator! How clever for a 2 year old! The kids LOVED flying and weren't'in the slightest bit annoyed that we didn't get here earlier.
A lot of people have been asking me if I am excited the last few days. I have pondered this question a lot. I have come to the realization that the anticipation I have felt is much like how I feel before a procedure or a planned hospital stay. is how I have felt about coming here. But today a little bit of the cares fell to the aide and I was able to enjoy being with my family and laugh a little, too.
